Reduce Workshop Time - Drill More Holes
Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 03:56PM

I have recently been designing a small set of drawers along the lines of my Simple Drawers I produced a few years back, only better (I hope). I had been exploring ways I could reduce production time using simple forms and joints which are easy to prepair and enable efficient assembly when I came across this Peg Chair by Tom Dixon.

The production of the seat and back rest and their integration is a little more involved, but the production of the other components and the frame assembly will be quick and easy. Boring holes and inserting dowel is a very simple process, once you have the correct jigs in place I can imagine this makes for a very efficient method of production.
